Net metering means that the homeowner’s relationship with the power company is promoted from dependent to cooperative. On those rare days when backup power is needed, the electric company performs its proper roll.
Look at your bill: There are 3 green energy charges. You’re paying to help implement solar anyway, so why not make it as close as your roof and get credit for it?
